Iver 30 years ago I read a short story about a big game hunter who at great expense used time travel to go back in time and bag a huge dinosaur. He shot the poor harmless beast, and was just finishing taking videos of himself with the corpse when the giant fleas - described, as I recall, as the size of Alsatian dogs - started to leave the cooling body and looking around for the nearest warm, moving new host ... it made a lasting impression, as you can tell!
