Loved this! Good job Vinny and Andrea -- you are wonderful ambassadors for shelter dogs.
Reactive dogs are a handfull, you have my respect for working with him...because, tricks aside (though they are impressive!) you've improved his life so much now that he no longer needs to react anymore to everything in his world. That takes a special commitment :)
Crystal and Chili
Thank you that was really great
It's definitely one thing for someone to be successful in training dogs alone, but Andrea gives it her all in attempting to fulfill the bigger and better dream; to save as many of these homeless animals as possible and to have them be content with their loving owners and homes. Any dream of this scale likely won't happen overnight, but to see the steps she's taking to realize this dream is just incredibly inspiring. She is definitely amazing and I'm proud to know her in person!
Vinny Love and Andrea Horikawa are an incredible team! I am so impressed with their story and they have definitely opened my eyes to many aspets of being a pet owner that I had not considered before.
It is people like Andrea that inspire me to do more and be more- she goes far above and beyond the call of duty for being a good and loving pet owner and extends her care to those overlooked. She's a voice for the voiceless. Thank you, Andrea. I'm sure many animals (and those you have helped find furry friends) are also grateful.
Also, like many adopted and shelter/rescue dogs I have come across, Vinny Love is ADORABLE!!!
Andrea, you & Vinny are a remarkable pair! I am sure that your video
will inspire many people to adopt from shelters, thus saving many
lives! You should be very proud of yourselves! God bless you.
Bless Andrea for her patience, generosity and love. I can tell by looking into his face that Vinny is an old soul who initially got dealt a rotten hand in this life but like all dogs, deserves a shot. I have one like that, too, and won't hesitate to get others if it happens that way, although it's not an easy path. It's karma and will come back to all who do so.
As you said, Vinny may never be the dog park dog you once hoped for, but thanks to your efforts he certainly has found his niche and it appears he's loving it. All dogs are different, but they are all good dogs.
Everyone, thank you so much for your kind words & support!
Please feel free to view Vinny's 2nd trick training video, uploaded just yesterday.

Thanks for giving me renewed inspiration! I am dealing with dog aggression issues in a lab mix that was adopted from a high kill shelter in May. Vinny was a joy to watch -- he looks so happy!
Just checked out your second video. I don't think I've ever seen a tail wag that fast! Great tricks, great dog, great story.
