Such a wonderful article. I too, always encourage people to adopt old dogs. Those graying muzzles and cloudy but hopeful eyes get to me every time. I am currently fostering an 11 year old Pit Bull who was emaciated and had terribly infected and enflamed skin. This is just the sweetest, most appreciative old girl ever. She is such a delight in every way and its so rewarding to watch her flourish. Thanks for bringing awareness to the wonderful old dogs waiting for homes in every shelter in the country. Lets help these dogs get the life they deserve.
