Top Dog-Friendly Companies

Clif Bar (Emeryville, California)
This organic energy snack company and their staff are heavily focused on environmentalism and spending time outside, so many have dogs. Luckily, those pups can join their owners at work, a policy that sprang organically from the company’s culture. (They even negotiated a group vet insurance deal.) On a busy day, there might be as many as 20 dogs running around the 260-person office, which means lunch breaks are filled with walks to the nearby park and fetch sessions in the auditorium.

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (New York, New York)
Could the secret behind this long-running television show’s success lie with it’s open-dog-door policy? Read Bark’s exclusive profile of the dogs of The Daily Show and learn why we deemed it the Best Place to Work … if you love dogs or are a dog!

Where do you get your data? Approximately 20% of US companies nationwide? Most business I know are not dog-friendly unless they are privately owned by a dog-owner/lover. This is a shame, as dogs do add to the workplace in a positive way. I'm very curious to know the source of your statistic.

These figures come from a 2006 survey by the American Pet Products Association (APPA), read more information at takeyourdog.com.

My company, Napa Home and Garden, is also "dog friendly". The company is a wholesaler of upscale home and garden products. In fact, the new summer catalog will feature Lucy, Jackson, Daisy and Sadie. It's fun to have them around.
